Unlocking Curiosity and Creativity: David Phillips at TEDxHickory

David is a creative solution finder who specializes in helping organizations apply the principles of innovation and people-centered design to their most pressing challenges. As a consultant, speaker, and facilitator, he pushes people to question their assumptions and stretch their thinking. David firmly believes that one of the keys to innovation lies in an organization's ability to unleash the imagination and creativity that resides in its people, and he strives to do just that in his work with organizations ranging from non-profits to Fortune 500 companies. David draws on his diversity of experience in consulting, financial services, public accounting, non-profits, public education, and the U.S. Air Force to approach problems from multiple perspectives. He has a deep appreciation for the power of actively looking at the world through different lenses and seeks to help others learn how to see differently and "imagine better." After growing up in northwest Louisiana, David moved "home" to North Carolina in 1997 and currently resides in Charlotte with his wife, Suzanne, and three-year-old son, Sam.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
