A new infrastructure asset class could emerge as China’s Belt and Road Initiative progresses, according to the HSBC Group Chairman. Speaking beside the Belt and Road Summit 2016 in Hong Kong, Douglas Flint said investors would have an asset template to evaluate infrastructure opportunities, without looking at every single project. He believed the Belt and Road Summit would become a great landmark on Hong Kong’s conference calendar.
