Idolizing Idealism - it's a cop-out! | Neelima Khetan | TEDxBhilwara

She believes there is an idealist in everyone. In this talk she uses real life examples to justify that how everyone at some point in their life are practicing the principles of idealism.

Neelima Khetan's interests are in the field of institution building and designing programs that involve citizens and communities in their own betterment.

She leads the CSR and Sustainability functions at Coca Cola -- India and South West Asia. She joined Coca-Cola in May 2012.Prior to this, she was the India Country Director of the American India Foundation, a diaspora philanthropy which has ex-President Clinton as its permanent honorary Chair and works to support civil society groups in India on the thematic areas of livelihoods, public health, education, disability and closing the digital divide.Her longest stint has been with Seva Mandir, an old and highly regarded voluntary organization based in Udaipur, Rajasthan, where she worked for 25 years (from 1985 till 2011), including as its Chief Executive from 1999 to 2011. Neelima started her career in the development space in 1984 with PRADAN, another leading NGO of India.

While at Seva Mandir, she worked on programs that were successful in providing deprived communities with high quality and low cost access to health and education, regenerating common property resources and bringing together village communities to demand accountability from themselves and from government service providers.
