Turkish tax and investment incentives provide distinct advantages for Belt and Road-related projects, according to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s consultant in Turkey. Perran Ersu says Belt and Road projects in the country include a large port development in the city of Izmir as well as urbanisation and clean energy opportunities. Hong Kong companies such as in the textile and toy sectors could benefit in trade to the EU by splitting production in Turkey.
