Here's another talk from this year's TEDxHickory event... Cecil Bothwell with his talk "What if the Horse Knows the Way?", discussing the future impact of self-driving cars.
Cecil Bothwell is a builder, a writer, an editor and publisher, an alternative energy advocate, an organic gardener, a painter, a mechanic and a politician. He has initiated a Zero Energy District project in Asheville, installed solar panels on his roof to make his own home net-zero, and his other car is a canoe. He currently serves in his second term on Asheville's City Council.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
