A native of Springfield, PA, Dan DiPasquale graduated from Fordham University Rose Hill in 2009 with a math major and classics minor. He then spent the next two years as a live-in volunteer at Cristo Rey New York High School where he taught computers and math, coached soccer and drama, pioneered a math club, and filled various other roles. It was there in Spanish Harlem that Dan met his beautiful wife Jessy; the two just married this past August.

Dan first came to Villanova in 2011 as a theology graduate student and Campus Ministry Intern. He has since completed the theology program and begun the graduate program in clinical mental health counseling which he plans to complete in May. In addition to working as a graduate assistant in the Center for Multicultural Affairs and Campus Ministry here at Villanova, Dan serves as a chaplain intern at Einstein Hospital in North Philadelphia. Dan loves doing crossword puzzles, playing the piano, and eating. If he could have a superpower, Dan would choose to be a shape shifter to get the best of many worlds: fly like a bird; swim like a shark; run like a cheetah; and actually be the fly on the wall for the most interesting conversations.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
