Randy Corradine is CCS' road warrior as the District Outreach Coordinator. A first-gen college student from Compton, Randy earned a bachelor's in philosophy and a master's in public admin from the Evergreen State College. Randy has worked in admissions and diversity areas at Gonzaga and Evergreen, inspiring at-risk students to excel in all areas of life. A performer, poet and writer, Randy is currently working on a novel, Memoir: Being Between Blue-Line Boundaries. Randy can be seen at open mic nights at the Phat House in Spokane.
Jerod Grant, Acting Multicultural Director at Everett Community College, is the first person in his family to graduate from college. He attended Eastern Washington University and earned a bachelor's in communication. Jerod has worked in college admissions, program outreach and has a passion for serving historically marginalized populations. Jerod loves athletics and the leadership qualities he feels young people are able to gain from participation in them. He has coached football and basketball for youth of all ages. Jerod's future plan includes completing a master's degree and starting a non-profit sports leadership camp that focuses on leadership and identity development.
Michael Bethely, is the founder of BE, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring others to improve their lives, as well as those around them. A spoken word, poetry and hip-hop artist, Michael performs regularly at Phat House, hosting open mic nights. Michael graduated from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor's in interdisciplinary studies, with emphases in graphic design, communication and film. A production tech at KXLY by day, Michael volunteers at Operation Healthy Family, serves as youth director at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, and is co-chair of the Inland Northwest Juneteenth Coalition.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
