Jason Bryan, known in the roaming world as "The Roaming Jedi," has worked in Telecommunications for 20 years for companies such as Vodafone and Telefonica, whilst also chairing GSMA's Roaming Innovations Group. Now having founded ROCCO (The Roaming Consulting Company), the company is looking in a neutral way at research into travel concepts and international roaming, specifically around strategy and how the behaviors of people while traveling is evolving. www.roamingconsulting.com

"Virtuality Versus Travel" analyzes the effects of virtual communications over travel and how the world needs to think strategically in context of our developing travel needs and changing attitudes towards communication. What if we became more virtual or less virtual... what does the future hold for us? Will we travel in the same way in 2050? And most of all, should technology or travel infrastructure make the decisions for us or should human nature direct our communications future?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
