Where Should Women Stand | The Hounorable Kuniko Inoguchi | TEDxMarunouchiWomen

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Inoguchi expresses the importance to have women in high ranking positions and asks women to be confident in themselves in having those leadership positions. She stresses that development without women is underdevelopment and women must be given a chance to be able to stand where they wish to be if Japan is to have a brighter future.

Kuniko is a current member of the House of Councillors, and by her own account she is a best friend of Caroline Kennedy, who is the US ambassador to Japan.
