九州大学応用力学研究所所長
1952年生、福岡県出身。1981年九州大学大学院工学研究科応用力学専攻博士課程修了。同年に九州大学応用力学研究所助手、84年熊本大学工学部助手、86年九州大学応用力学研究所助教授、97年同教授を経て2012年～応用力学研究所所長を務める。風工学、風力エネルギーの利用、大気境界層などを専門とし、日本風工学会、日本流体力学会、日本風力エネルギー協会、日本航空宇宙学会の会においても活動を行っている。

Yuji Ohya
Professor, Research Institute for Applied Mechanics at Kyushu University
Yuji Ohya is a Fukuoka native. He completed his doctoral studies in the Department of Applied Mechanics at Kyushu University in 1981, engaging in the Research Institute for Applied Mechanics as an assistant professor that same year. In 1984, he moved to the Department of Engineering at Kumamoto University. Later, he again moved on to become a full-time professor at Kyushu University. Since 2012 he has served as the director of the Research Institute for Applied Mechanics specializing in wind engineering. He is a member of the Japan Association for Wind Engineering, the Japan Society of Fluid Mechanics, the Japan Wind Energy Association, and the Japan Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences.
