As interest grows among investors to finance infrastructure projects along the Belt and Road routes, they are also equally concerned about investment risks. Ram Mahidhara, Chief Investment Officer of the International Finance Corporation predicts that the Belt and Road Initiative will motivate governments to improve domestic investment environments and in turn boost confidence among private investors.
