Specific social and economic outcomes rather than project numbers are making the Belt and Road Initiative a success according to Michael Kwok of Arup Group. The architectural design, planning and engineering consultancy has its East Asia headquarters in Hong Kong with signature projects like the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Mr Kwok says the SAR’s openness and pragmatism – as well as its technology adoption – are vital for Belt and Road development.
