Turkish Achma "Açma" is one of the most popular street food for breakfast after Simit. It is a rich yeast dough that has a unique twisted ring shape. Very light and puffy. Good company for Turkish breakfast, with tea or coffee in any time of the day.
Ingredients For Achma (About 15-18 pieces)
1 cup lukewarm water
1 cup lukewarm milk
1 tbsp dry active yeast
4 tbsp sugar
1 cup olive oil or vegetable oil
2 eggs (keep the yolks for top egg wash)
about 6-8 cups or more all-purpose flour (Add gradually after 6 cups)
1 tbsp salt
