The Missouri Department of Conservation encourages you to discover nature.
This month is a great time to teach someone to fish.

Fishing is a traditional activity in southeast Missouri and one that is easily shared with friends and family of all ages.
Youngsters who learn to fish also learn to respect wildlife and the outdoors.

Studies show kids who experience outdoor activities like fishing experience less stress, and improved grades and health.
By sharing your knowledge, you can pass along the great tradition of fishing in our state.
Kids can try fishing with their parents at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center at no cost and all equipment is provided.
