The large, lemon-yellow flowers make Missouri primrose one of our showiest wildflowers.

The showy flower heads of purple coneflower can appear in open woodlands throughout most of Missouri.
These showy flowers produce throughout the summer and are a good nectar source for butterflies.
It grows well in light shade to full sun in average to moist soil. Many gardeners like to use this plant for cut flowers.
