You'll need
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of sesame seeds
1 tsp of butter
Here's how
1- Pour 1 cup of sugar into a non-stick skillet.
2- Melt the sugar while stirring with a spatula.
3- When the sugar is fully melted, add in 1 tsp of butter and turn the stove off.
4- Quickly stir in 1 cup of sesame seeds until well mixed.
5- Pour the mixture on a parchment paper immediately.
6- Spread a little bit and cover with another layer of parchment paper.
7- Flatten with the help of a rolling pin.
8- Uncover and use a sharp knife to cut the large square of candy into small squares, diamonds, or rectangles while the sesame paste is still warm and soft.
9- To speed up the cooling process and to keep the candies from sticking together, place them in the freezer and leave them there for 15-20 minutes.
10- Separate the candies and put them into a ziplock bag.
11- They can be served immediately or can be stored in the fridge.
12- Crispy sesame seed candies go great with coffee and tea.
13- Enjoy!
