In this video we are going to show you how to make sesame feta cheese butter breads (pogaca). It’s pretty easy. If you like turkish simit you will like this simit pogaca too. Molasses gives a great taste to pogaca pastry.(butter sesame breads) You have to try this very delicious small breads.
Transfer warm milk into a large bowl Add sugar and yeast Mix it and let yeast activate for around 10 minutes In the bowl of a heavy-duty mixer place eggs Add melted unsalted butter Add vegetable oil and the yeast mix Gradually add flour add Salt The dough will be soft and unsticky Cover it up and let the yeast work for around an hour Add water to the molasses Cut the dough in 2 equal pieces, and divide a half in smaller pieces Place feta cheese Dip into the molasses and roasted sesame Transfer on the baking paper Place shredded mozzarella Cut the pogacas then let yeast work again for around 30 minute 30 minute later.. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown in 200C (390F) pre-heated oven
For the simit pogaca dough:
2 eggs
2 tablespoon of butter
½ cups vegetable oil
½ cups warm milk
(10gram) dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
3.5 cups flour
For the top:
1 cup roasted sesame
3 tablespoons molasses
3 tablespoons water
